Just watched a great piano concert in Second Life by Heath Vercher, avatar name of Heath Elvehjem, and this was my first piano concert and I must say I was impressed, it was definitely a nice change of pace. He describes it as contemporary instrumental, all I know is he was good. I will post a note about his next concert as soon as he lets us know.

New age piano? What’s that, you might ask? Most people haven’t the slightest clue either, to tell the truth. Some people say Yanni. Some people say Jim Brickman. Others say George Winston. So who’s right? Some say new age piano is a mix of classical and jazz styles. Others call it contemporary instrumental music. Some think it implies religion or philosophy, others not so much.

Relevant details aside, it is a sure thing that this pianist loves to tell stories, and one can often find him entertaining the audience with tales about his own music or cheesy anecdotes. Whether entertaining a crowd of fifty online in Second Life or doing a live performance along the Gulf Coast, Heath is positive you’ll be celebrating life with him alongside the music of Anthem!
