Gartner Report Warns Against Brands in Second Life Having a virtual “office” in a place like Second Life may be at the forefront of business 2.0, but could pose problems for those companies involved. Gartner notes the security issues of having confidential information being shared across these networks, where companies may be subject to a security breach for both inside the network as well as for the employer’s own network. This makes sense on a certain level, as standards haven’t necessarily been put in place for businesses working within virtual worlds.
That place is such a mess.. If WSE had any ethics and wasn’t so tied up in bed with people such as Nicholas over at Ginko Fraudancial, they would’ve pulled Nicholas to the side and said “No thanks!” to his latest stunt using the perpetual bonds. This brings a lot of serious questions like Nobody Fugazi wrote about earlier this evening.

The ballyhoo surrounding this online community has led multinational brands from Reebok to Toyota to establish beachheads on Second Life to interact with consumers and be a part of the next wave in social networking.
Dynamo Gallery opens on depo business park in Second Life depo consulting ltd is pleased to announce the opening of the Dynamo Gallery, situated on the depo business park in Second Life, the three dimensional virtual world. The first exhibition features the work of Hughby Looby, a photojournalist in real life. He is showing an atmospheric collection of black and white images, largely shot on location in Cuba and Hungary. The exhibition will run until mid-October.
