If you are having trouble connecting, they have posted a notice on the Second Life blog about connectivity issues with Europe, people having trouble logging in and teleporting, apparently, it is some issue not related to Second Life, the way that I read it at least.

They’ve updated the blog, apparently it was a routing problem in London, they have redirected the traffic through Paris.
