You can see it taking on 3D form in a Matrix-worthy way here…Video no longer available.
From: Your 2nd Place Heading Into 2008: Making Or Breaking Second Life Quote from the site - I’ve been quiet of late - quite a few different reasons, many related to real world events. It is high time that I posted something that I have been meaning to, but the additional time did help me deal with some of my thoughts related to Second Life, and virtual worlds in general. To write this, I needed the time away from Second Life… and one of the few good things that happened over the course of the last few weeks is that I was afforded that opportunity. First, and foremost, Second Life has to change.

From: Profy Virtual World Boom: While Second Life Lags, The Kid-Safe Variety Win Big Quote from the site - Here’s something I didn’t expect to read this morning. Virtual worlds are big stuff.
The kid-oriented variety, anyhow. Indeed, The New York Times reported today that despite the less-than-stellar magnetism attributed to the teen- and adult-specific gamespace/marketplace called Second Life, the places on the Web reserved for the youngest of computer-savvy generations are quite the attraction these days.

From: SL I-Reports Unique concept by exciting new Second Life artist Quote from the site - There are many great artists in Second Life, just as there are in real life. Many real life artists cascade their talents into their virtual lives as a natural element of their personalities. Chalker Zenovka is one of them, albeit that he had a hiatus in his creativity until he met his beautiful Second Life partner Skye Fargis. You can just tell, by being in their company, how happy they are together, and since meeting him, Skye has encouraged and inspired Chalker into using his great artistic talent in Second Life. I was drawn to his work because of the uniqueness of it, his art covers nature, trees, fruit, animals, still life, gargoyles and what he calls his alien art (eerie humanlike figures).
From: Business Communicators of Second Life Virtual/RealWorld Custom Manufacturing Project: Double Happiness Jeans Quote from the site - It took me some digging to put all the pieces together, but this is just too fascinating not to have made the effort. Without a doubt Second Life is helping companies innovate products and processes - even though 2007 mainstream media was seemingly all about SL marketing efforts.
