Win an iPod at Circuit City Island

Category: Contests, Gadgets, Music, Places to Visit by Stone Culdesac

Circuit City has recently relaunched their Second Life presence, creating a four sim Island, they refer to it as Circuit City Island in the terms and conditions of their contest, a contest in which they are giving away 10 iPods to the lucky avatars who find them. The iPods are ten (10) Apple 4GB iPod Nano ARV: $149.99, Model No. APL MB245LLA.

According to the rules they will randomly hide one iPod on the island, the sims will not always have an iPod hidden there, and the avatar who finds it, must click on it to claim it. I was all over this place tonight, PRETTY sure it wasn’t there. It would be nice if they would post a winners list so we can see if there are still prizes available. The sim has all kind of great info on the island, including a walk through giant digital SLR camera that shows you its inner workings.

2. Prizes: Ten (10) Apple 4GB iPod Nano ARV: $149.99 (Model No. APL MB245LLA):
Ten Prizes will be awarded during a six (6) week Game Period or until all prizes have been awarded. Limit one (1) Prize per person/Avatar for the duration of Game Period. Winners are solely responsible for any expenses in connection with the Prizes not expressly described herein as being awarded including, without limitation, the following: (i) federal, state or local taxes; and (ii) any additional expenses not described herein as being awarded associated with the acceptance and use of the prize. Total ARV of all prizes combined is $1,499.90. Prize is not transferable. No substitution of prizes permitted except at Sponsor’s option, including Sponsor’s right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable.

3. To play the Explore and Win Promotion (the “Game”), you must register with Second Life at (“Second Life”) and create a unique Avatar, a digital representation of the participant. You may register with Second Life for free. Second Life is owned and operated by Linden Research, Inc. (Second Life and Linden Research are collectively referred to in these Rules as “Second Life”). SECOND LIFE DOES NOT ENDORSE, APPROVE OR HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS GAME. By registering with Second Life you are providing your personal information to Second Life and are subject to Second Life’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Once registered with Second Life you must visit the Circuit City Island (the “Island”) to play. One Prize at a time will be randomly hidden on the Island during the Game Period. Players may participate by searching the Island for one (1) of the hidden Prizes. A Prize will not necessarily be hidden on the Island at all times during the Game Period. Once a participant finds a hidden Prize the participant must click on the Prize to claim it. A dialog box will then open telling the participant to accept a note card owned by Portia Humphreys. The note card will notify the participant that the Sponsor will be contacting him/her via online chat to his/her Avatar within forty-eight (48) hours. After reading the note card the Prize will be removed from the island and a new Prize will be placed afterwards until all Ten Apple 4GB iPod Nanos are found and awarded.

When a participant clicks on a Prize, the Sponsor will automatically receive an email containing the participant’s Avatar name. Within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving that email Sponsor will open up a direct (non public) online chat with participant’s Avatar. Sponsor will explain to the participant how he/she can claim the Prize.

There are showing a movie preview in the movie theatre.
