Black Swan Once Again
I have been visiting some of the better looking sims and snapping some new pics since I finally have Windlight working correctly, and I would be remiss if I did not get some new pics from Black Swan, which I first visited here.

I ran across this post at SecondSeeker.com that reviewed another Rezzable sim, Arrival01. So, thought I would check it out.
Lots of weird and cool looking stuff sitting around.

Not sure what any of it does though…

Had a couple visitors from Rezzable recently checking out my visits to some of their other sims, Stratos Legend, Crimson Shadow, the Greenies and others, and on their blog they mention I haven’t checked out Black Swan yet, so I thought I would. Lots of cool and neat stuff as usual from Rezzable.
The typical nice view to start the sim, with the huge statue and all the stuff going on, falling stars, jumping killer whale, ghostly images, and, as usual, plenty of ways to get hurt.

Is your name Joe?

Dang, it got hot all of a sudden.

I figured since I was already in the area visiting the Crimson Shadows sim, why not hit Stratos Legend and see the Bones of the Dinosaurs. This is another good looking sim, but, unlike the other rezzable sims I’ve looked at, this one has nothing to keep you hanging around here, unless you just like the company of the dinosaurs.

Look, I keep telling you I look better than I taste….

I don’t think they are staying strictly to real life dinosaurs.

If you don’t read any reviews before hand, you can never really expect what you are going to see when you visit a sim from Rezzable, Rezzable Productions Ltd. is creating and running one of the largest public entertainment areas in Second Life with more than 30 sims currently. I did expect a dark place just from the name of this one, Crimson Shadow, but that’s about it. It is a dark and crimson place, beautiful like the other Rezzable sims, and little things here and there to keep you interested or want to just hang out.
But first, check out what this sim looks like on the map.

It is mainly a shopping sim with a different twist, it is a dark, gothic, and vampire related sim, with victims balls and feeder balls for you vampires out there. They are watching you…

It also has a dance club, although it was pretty empty when I was there.

I just finished visiting another Rezzable creation, Hang10, part of the Surfline sim, and let me tell you, this is a fun build. You can do a little bit of everything there, and it looks like a fun spot to hang out about everyday. I titled this one Surfline Hang10, but there are three Surfline sims, Aloha, Epic and Hang10, and I surfed, flew, swam, dived, relaxed, explored, and played music across all three of them. Here is the Second Life URL for the Hang10 sim.

Hey boy, just gonna sleep right through huh?

Umm, you guys know where the surfboards are?

Like, I’m riding this baby!

Hey the first floor of the temple.

Just need some babes, once again. I think I need some Sherpa’s…

Just glad Ari isn’t here, I’d have three or four knives in me by now.

Giddy up!

Watch this spider, he’s all over.

Nice view from the hot tub.

Toxic Garden: Poisoned Paradise by Aribella Lafleur
Tongues loosened by ale tell strange tales, so I discovered, as the convoluted rumours of a mysterious but deadly jungle were whispered lecherously in my ear. Despite the drunkard’s foetid breath and leering glances, which caused me to recoil in horror, his compelling depiction of fantastic sights in a lethal landscape drew me in and held me in thrall.
Not in the habit of crediting gossip from the inebriated, I would have dismissed this yarn but for the mention of incalculable riches to be found in the crumbling ruins of an ancient civilisation swallowed up by noxious trailing vines. Designer gowns don’t come cheap, and Aribella Lafleur is too proud to resort to buying them second-hand off eBay. I needed financial security that didn’t involve marrying a wealthy coma patient, pyramid schemes or metal detectors.
After much diligent investigation, I unearthed the location of the underground entranceway to our treasure garden. With my crew assembled in the dimly lit enclosed chamber, we donned protective armbands filled with slow-release antitoxins. Oblivious to the risks and dangers of the two precarious and claustrophobic elevators, we avariciously relied on our certainty that they lead to great fortune above. We steeled ourselves, paired off, and rode topside.

Instantly assaulted by cloying scents, which hung in the moist air like monkeys on a bunch of bananas, we reeled and staggered into the clutches of a giant pulsating fleshy floral behemoth. I heard whispers of “Feed me, Seymour” as the hungry bloom attempted to ingest my motley crew. As a diversion to allow the remainder of us to escape I contemplated sacrificing at least one of my dysfunctional assistants, (preferably the boor who saw fit to hoard food amongst the costly garments in my suitcase) but, upon reflection, I recognised their continued value as human shields….

Feeling slightly over-pollinated, I brushed off sticky yellow residue as I headed my team in the direction of a derelict chapel. I hung back slightly, to determine whether the mass of throbbing, lashing vines, the dominant life form in this untamed ecosystem, would claim one of my minions as an unhealthy snack. After it became clear that none would be devoured, I boldly ventured into the eerie ruins, gazing in awe at the remnant of the once imposing structure, reduced to rubble by the strangling tendrils.

Following what appeared to be a path through the jungle, we glimpsed a glassy enclosed edifice, possibly one of the original laboratory structures housing the initial genetically mutated species of this unnatural environment. The enticing exotic fragrance trail from the greenhouse lulled us into an opiate stupor, from which we were caught totally unawares by giant cyborg ants which spat fountains of a formic-like acid towards us. Before we had even realised our peril, two of our number were down, writhing in agony as the acid steamed through flesh and bone alike.

By Stone Culdesac
Aleister Kronos of the Ambling in Second Life blog has posted about a Rezzable build that could go away at any second because the author just hacked it together in a few hours, called Mars Areas01 Rezzable, it’s really not very functional and you can’t do much with it, but it’s pretty and it’s got some catchy tunes.
I found a pair of seats where you can sit and watch.

The teleport box when you first get there puts you inside those tubes at the top.

Pretty colors…

Welcome to the Greenies Home on the grid.
Wander around, explore…try some wacky games. Join us and Green the Grid!!
@@@@Psst - the Greenies have a little secret. You may stumble into TELEPORTS in the sim - you’ll know them when they appear. Sit on the glowing orb to be transported. If you get stuck finding one though, look under the sink for a glowing light.
DRAW DISTANCE SETTING
You’ll fine the scale of things here somewhat outside your usual SL experience, so you’ll need to set draw distance to a high value (300 meters plus!). To do this:
1) open preferences. ( [Ctrl-P] or “Preferences” under the Edit menu)
2) click on the “graphics” tab on the left of the preferences panel.
3) find the draw distance box and type in a number between 300 and 512 (bigger is better but might be slower on older computers)
4) hit enter or click ok.If you have a slow computer or connection you might want to set draw distance back down before you leave this sim as it can create lag in busy areas (like malls).
FLIGHT ASSISTANCE
Greenies sim is LARGE and has elements way higher than SL may allow you to fly comfortably (or at all). Eventually most people in SL acquire a flight assistance tool. If you’ve got one you’re set, but if not we’ve made a few for your convenience. Simply click these links to get them into your inventory and wear them. Choose only one type of flight assist at a time though, or you may find yourself “over assisted” and flying uncontrollably.
